Orion does not … take possession of any inventory, take back any ownership, receive stock or interest expense on the investment. Clients may not be entitled to the same level of transparency with Orion buys, across all media types, as under an agreement with their Agency of Record (AOR). It’s important to us that our clients understand our offering and how we create unique savings opportunities.

Orion utilizes our IPG Treasury cash investments with media partners to create leverage that delivers client savings on select media.

Our barter product enables some of the best brands in the world to part-fund media expenditures with assets, rather than cash, to drive millions in savings annually. Barter deals are customized based on an evaluation of desired media, the asset provided and the leverage Orion has created from our investments with media owners.

Clients receive immediate access to trade credits equal to the full value of the asset, while Orion takes the responsibility, risk, and revenue associated with remarketing the asset.

Trade credits are typically used with Orion over a  three-year period.

Our fixed price product delivers guaranteed client savings through utilizing Orion’s media investment partnerships to help deliver efficiencies within a client’s media plan.

Approved media plans receive agreed upon savings on any qualifying spend with Orion partner via a contractual agreement to buy a portion of the media at a fixed percent savings off each type of media in the mix. Orion takes on risk for hitting guarantee.

Media quality is maintained and continues to be planned, priced & stewarded by the media agency.
